About Creative Pride
Blogging and Anything That Strikes My Fancy
In spring of 2008, my best friend, Marsha, asked me about blogging. For her Master’s program, she had to keep a blog for at least a year. Unfortunately, she doesn’t know the first thing about blogging or setting up a web site. Fortunately for her, I do know a little bit about creating web sites, so she turned to me for help.
At this point I had never really blogged, though I had at one time signed up for a live journal account. I didn’t understand how to customize it and it was (still is IMO) extremely frustrating trying to navigate Live Journal for what I was using it for, which was mostly to read fan fiction. Since Marsha needed the information and I like to learn stuff like this, I started Creative Pride News on Blogger, which I have since transferred to a Wordpress Blog.
Creative Pride News didn’t have a real purpose when I first started it and it still doesn’t have a single purpose today. I have left it that way on purpose as I have started several other blogs that have a more defined theme or principle. This way Creative Pride News is my catch-all for the minutia that passes through my brain that doesn’t fit on my other blogs.
